A great week ahead of us! We have completed our first chapter test and the results are strong. Remember, a parent signature is required for each student. Also, "reflections" are due by Thursday or Friday this week to improve upon a test grade.
We are moving into two chapter two and beginning to increase our pace of learning, I really appreciate the deliberate effort to manage your math time. You are developing your fluency at accessing your online books, working Compass Odyssey and Gizmo completing assignments due each Monday. I am very impress with so many mastering their time. Being "Proactive" is another key to fully maximizing your learning. Again, you are impressive in all you do! Key up the excellent work!

Topic: Introduction to Rational Numbers: Terminating and Repeating Decimals and Comparing and Ordering Rational Numbers.
Complete Gizmos assignment "Comparing and Ordering Rational Numbers" and at least one hour of Compass Odyssey by October 3, 2011.

Compass Odyssey Note:
All students should be working in either FCAT Prep 6th grade Big Idea 1 or Big Idea 2 and continuing with the Learning Paths. ONLY WORK ON FCAT PREP 3, if you have completed/finished ALL of Big Idea 1 and Big Idea 2.
Consider Compass Odyssey as an assignment and you will receive an assignment grade based on your progress in the learning path and completion of assignments. Remember, 1 hour each week is the minimum. If you have questions or challenges with the assignments, please inform me as soon as possible via email. You guys are great, thanks for being All Stars!
Gizmo Note: The Gizmo assignments are due weekly, each Monday of the week with a completed Exploration Guide. Completing only the assignment questions online or completing only the Exploration Guide and submitting on Monday or Tuesday, if that is the first meeting of the week, is completing half the work. Ensure your are completing both Exploration Guide and the Assessment Questions each week and submitting on our first class meeting. Thank you!
