The week of October 10th...

Ladies and Gentlemen, As we approach the end of Module "B" (Chapter 2) for all classes, prepare now for your test by reviewing your notes and bell ringers. I will be hosting tutoring sessions on Monday's immediately after school until 3:00pm for those interested. That will include October 10th as well. If you are planning to attend a tutoring session, I will need a note via email or hard copy confirming your attendance and your transportation plans after tutoring. This tutoring session will focus on note taking and studying habits for test. I will be glad to answer questions about topics we have addressed in class and how to study those topics as we move forward. Please note space and time is limited, please come prepared, have your notes, bell ringers, and questions ready. Thank you!

Intensive Math 6th Grade: (Team Time Group)
Fractions, Decimals, and Percents using Agile Mind.
Parents: We have begun using "Agile Mind", a software driven resource that allows each student to maximize their learning potential. Your learner has a login and password that allows them to track their progress and advance their learning at home and school. Please encourage them to do at least 30min at home weekly. We are off to an amazing start, their efforts and commendable and I expect the results to be favorable. Thank you!

Topic: Review of Rational Numbers: Terminating and Repeating Decimals and Comparing and Ordering Rational Numbers.
Complete Gizmos assignment "Adding Fraction" and at least one hour of Compass Odyssey by October 10, 2011.
Homework:
Mon: 1 Hour of Compass Odyssey (Module C) and Gimzo Assignment (Complete Exploration Guide and Assessment questions) due on 10.17.11
Tues: Study for Module "B" test on 10.13.11

Compass Odyssey Note:
ALL students are assigned Module C for completion by November 5th. Compass Odyssey is an assignment and you will receive an assignment grade based on your progress in the learning path and completion of assignments. Remember, 1 hour each week is the minimum. If you have questions or challenges with the assignments, please inform me as soon as possible via email. You guys are great, thanks for being All Stars!

Gizmo Note: The Gizmo assignments are due weekly, each Monday of the week with a completed Exploration Guide. Ensure you are completing the assessment questions online as well as, completing and submitting the Exploration Guide to maximize your learning. If you have questions, please ask.
